Podcast June 17th – Weiner and Central Intelligence

Surprisingly, the doldrums of June didn’t get Cory and Tristan down – despite the expected quality of Central Intelligence being dim, the duo viewed a pair of films over the past week – one from this year (Weiner) and one from nearly a century ago (Nosferatu, 1922).

Separately, Cory saw the new Kevin Hart picture Central Intelligence, with a star turn from the oft miscast Dwayne Johnson. He also saw the abysmally directed Stephen King adaptation Cell, featuring phoned-in performances by Samuel L. Jackson and John Cusack (1408 reunion alert!)

Tristan caught up on a few films – recent hit documentary Blackfish, classic Martin Scorsese /Ellen Burstyn Oscar winner Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore and last year’s September gem The Intern, with Robert DeNiro and Anne Hathaway.
