The dark times are upon us. That’s right, M. Night Shyamalan has revived his career. After seeing his newest low-budget venture, Split, Cory and Tristan are here to report their findings. In addition to this, they super sized their Thursday evening by bearing witness to the origin of the McDonald’s fast food restaurant as we know it today, with Michael Keaton’s tour de force performance as Ray Kroc in The Founder.
The pair also saw four new shows:
Cory took in the updated version of Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events, starring Neil Patrick Harris – who replaces Jim Carrey from the film – and Tom Hardy’s passion project, the historical fiction Taboo.
Tristan saw much lambasted HBO-BBC production The Young Pope, which stars Jude Law as…a young pope. He also caught long-gestating Amazon project Sneaky Pete, starring Giovanni Ribisi as a confidence man caught in a family whose lives are starting to crumble as he pretends to be their long-lost cousin.
